Managing notification settings
One switch at the top turns everything off. Below it, suggestions and household activity have their own settings.
Notification settings are under Settings → Notifications.
Notifications, at the top, is the master switch. Turn it off and nothing is sent; everything below it is hidden until it’s back on.
Suggestions has a switch for each of the four kinds — Earning tasks, Occasional tasks, Day-specific tasks, Seasonal tasks — and a When row for the time of day they arrive. There is no separate master switch for suggestions: the group is on while any of the four is. See suggestions for what each one does.
Staying in the loop covers what other people do:
- Household updates — when someone else takes care of a task, and when a new member joins the household
- Added tasks — when new tasks are created. These are grouped over a short window, so adding a batch doesn’t arrive as a run of alerts.
- Task requests — everything about requests: being asked, a request being fulfilled, a request being declined
Tasks you’ll hear about sits above them and applies to both Household updates and Added tasks: either all tasks, or only the tasks applicable to you.
To pause everything for a while without changing any of it, use Quiet mode.
Note
Push notification permission is also controlled by your device. If notifications aren’t arriving, check your device’s notification settings for FreshChores.

Suggestions
A few available tasks worth a look, spread across the day, and paused once you start or finish anything.
Quiet mode
